1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Studio Protea website and, where applicable, website design work we carry out for you. Studio Protea is based in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa. By using this site you agree to these terms.

2. Use of this website

You may browse and use this site for lawful purposes only. You may not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorised access to it, scrape it at scale, or misuse the enquiry form (including sending spam or false information).

3. Information on this site

Content on this site, including package descriptions and prices, is provided in good faith for general information. Prices are quoted in South African Rand and may change. Nothing on this site is a binding offer — a project only begins once we confirm a written quote and scope with you.

4. Quotes, scope, and timelines

• Quotes are based on the scope agreed in writing before work starts.
• Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it is done.
• Turnaround estimates assume we receive your content, images, and feedback promptly. Delays in supplying these move the delivery date.

5. Payments

Unless agreed otherwise, a deposit is payable before work begins and the balance is payable before the site goes live. Monthly retainers covering hosting, domain, SSL, and support are billed in advance and may be cancelled with reasonable written notice. Non-payment may result in the site being suspended.

6. Client responsibilities

You confirm that any text, images, logos, or other material you supply is yours to use and does not infringe anyone else's rights. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information published on your website.

7. Ownership

Once a project is paid in full, you own the website content and design deliverables created for you. Third-party components, themes, plugins, and fonts remain subject to their own licences. Studio Protea retains the right to describe the work in general terms as part of its own experience.

8. Hosting, uptime, and third parties

Websites we host rely on third-party infrastructure and services. We take reasonable care to keep sites available and up to date, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service or the performance of third-party platforms, domains, or payment providers.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by South African law, Studio Protea is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data, arising from use of this site or of a website we build. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
